Community you will be caring for: 60 Memorial Medical Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32164 

The role you’ll contribute:  

Responsible for overseeing the continual operation of a specified nursing unit to ensure high-quality patient care and services. This position demonstrates critical thinking, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in delivering services to the patient population. Additionally, this position monitors the quality of care delivered to patients, administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and ensures effective stewardship of resources. Responsibilities for this role include acting as a change agent, implementing necessary changes in collaboration with the Manager/Director, and maintaining respectful relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other contacts. 

The value you’ll bring to the team:  

  • Lead the Employees – Has a working knowledge of performance expectations for all employees on the unit. Monitors performance of the staff and report’s findings to the nurse manager or takes corrective action for improvement as appropriate. Uses independent judgment to make recommendations to supervisor/manager regarding: Actively participates in the interview process / application selection. 

  • Performance Improvement - Demonstrates familiarity with the performance improvement model of the organization.  Support performance improvement activities on the unit through problem identification, assessment, data gathering, change implementation, and evaluation of outcomes. 

  • Critical Thinking – Utilizes critical thinking skills in the performance of their duties as an ANM: Supports the planning, organizing, and leading of the unit through application of critical thinking skills. Utilizes data driven decision making, incorporating evidence into the decision process. Appropriately uses problem solving skills. 

  • Business of Healthcare Delivery – Utilizes a working knowledge of health care economics as it applies to the delivery of patient care. Is involved in unit-department based budgeting and support of the budget. Maintains staffing and scheduling, and resource utilization within budgeted targets for the unit. 



The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:  

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school

  • Current Florida Registered Nurse license

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Prior leadership experience
