Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Pay Range: $55.00–$65.00/hr

Sign On Bonus: $5,000
Status: Full-Time
Coverage Area: Coachella Valley

What You’ll Do

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for delivering high‑quality occupational therapy services in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the Service Agreement. The OT will play an essential role in helping patients improve function, safety, and independence in their daily lives.

  • Provide counseling, support, and guidance to patients, caregivers, and families
  • Deliver education and training to patients and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive strategies, safety, and home programs
  • Communicate effectively with the physician overseeing the home health plan of care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of the patient’s functional abilities, including muscle strength, endurance, coordination, communication skills, self‑care capabilities, and work-related functions
  • Evaluate the home environment for safety risks and barriers to independence; recommend necessary adaptive equipment or modifications
  • Participate in developing and updating the individualized plan of care
  • Develop and implement patient‑specific treatment programs with clear goals to improve functional independence and quality of life
  • Teach new skills or retrain patients in daily living activities lost due to illness, injury, or decline, in alignment with organizational policies
  • Fabricate or adjust splints as appropriate, and train patients in the use of adaptive or assistive equipment
  • Train patients in the safe and effective use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid CA OT License
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
