Position Summary:
The Supervisor is a “Hands on” working supervisor responsible for the training, supervision and welfare of the assigned individual’s w/disabilities working in the community performing contracted work.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â Â Â Â
- Supervises and works with individuals w/disabilities (crew members) at the work site.
- Provides crew members training and retraining when necessary.
- Provides quality assurance by inspecting completed work assignment.
- Provides hands-on assistance to crew members while engaged in work assignment.
- Ensures that optimal health and safety practices are being followed at all times.
- Maintains contact with contract personnel to ensure contract requirements are being met.
- Makes environmental modifications at the work site which will assist the individual in better performing work duties.Â
- Maintains on-going contact with appropriate supported employment staff.
- Provides direct counseling to the individual to minimize social, emotional or behavior problems.
- Serves as an advocate for the individual at the work site/community.
- Maintains a positive relationship with contract management, employees and others at the work/site community.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and qualify for Level II background screen.Â
- Prefer two (2) years’ experience in janitorial or maintenance setting serving individuals with disabilities.Â
- One (1) year of college may substitute for each year of experience up to four (4) years.Â
- Valid driver license, clean driving record and ability to meet the standards for FDOT certification as condition of employment.
