About the Role:
Palm Springs Companion Care LLC is looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in beautiful Palm Springs, CA. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and collect laboratory samples
- Monitor and care for patients under anesthesia and during post-operative recovery
- Conduct diagnostic imaging including digital radiography and prepare samples for in-house lab analysis
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate patient medical records using practice management software
- Ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment
Requirements:
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in the state of California
- Experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or companion animal practice preferred
- Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and patient recovery
- Strong phlebotomy, IV placement, and laboratory skills
- Excellent communication and client education abilities
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and able to handle a high-energy clinical environment
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus
