JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Spray Technician, under supervision of the Superintendent and or Assistant Superintendent, preforms work involving applications of miscellaneous pesticides and fertilizers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) Daily applications of pesticides and fertilizers when necessary Calibrate nozzles and ground driven applicators Equipment maintenance and cleaning of all spray equipment Record all applications Monitor prior applications made Maintain and organize pesticide storage area Monitor safety supplies Report to Superintendent or Assistant with daily SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS AND INFORMATION None KEYS Pesticide storage Signatory Ability Receiving with Management approvalQualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 2 year experience with fertilizer and pesticide applications preferred Experience with ground driven and pump applications Safety training with pesticides Good understanding of pesticide record keeping and label safety warnings WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. This job also requires lifting and carrying of heavy tools and products.
