System Dynamics International, Inc. is seeking a qualified Flight Duty Officer (FDO) to support flight operations and Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) functions in support of U.S. Air Force operations. The selected candidate will provide operational and administrative support to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of flight activities in accordance with applicable Air Force instructions, organizational procedures, and contractual requirements.
The FDO will serve as a key operational support resource responsible for coordinating daily flight operations, verifying aircrew readiness, supporting mission scheduling activities, and maintaining aviation resource management compliance.
- Perform Flight Duty Officer and Operations Supervisor duties in support of daily flight operationsÂ
- Coordinate aircraft crew-ready status with maintenance and operations personnelÂ
- Verify aircrew currency, qualification, medical, and testing requirements prior to flight operationsÂ
- Ensure completion of required pre-flight checklists and Go/No-Go requirementsÂ
- Support aircrew during in-flight emergencies and unusual operational eventsÂ
- Coordinate mission deviations and schedule adjustments with flight operations scheduling personnelÂ
- Provide backup Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) support functionsÂ
- Support Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) program requirements and documentationÂ
- Monitor and maintain awareness of regulatory guidance, policy updates, and operational requirements affecting aviation resource managementÂ
- Coordinate aircraft scheduling through applicable scheduling systems and processesÂ
- Brief leadership on aviation resource management and operational issuesÂ
- Support inspections, self-assessments, audits, and administrative reporting requirementsÂ
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with government and contractual requirementsÂ
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of mission operations
Education and Experience RequirementsÂ
Candidates must meet at least one of the following labor category qualification requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience in respective profession, including two (2) years supporting Department of Defense (DoD) operations; ORÂ
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years in the respective discipline being performed, including three (3) years supporting DoD operations; ORÂ
- Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience, including five (5) years supporting DoD operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior relevant U.S. Air Force, DoD, or military aviation operations experienceÂ
- Experience supporting flight scheduling or aircrew operationsÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Â Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applicationsÂ
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracyÂ
- Ability to obtain and maintain required system access and/or security credentials
