This 4/10 2nd shift position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
This position is for the Section Manager of Liaison Engineering for the F-35 Program, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) F-35 Production Support Department Manager.
Responsibilities:
The Section Manager will lead a growing team of 10-15 Liaison Engineers.
Responsible for the disposition of nonconforming metallic and composite parts and assemblies as well as subsystem nonconformance.
For functional tasking, approximately 15% statement of work will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions.
Support the VE Liaison Engineering Department Manager on the NGAS Liaison Engineering Community of Practice is expected.
The Section Manager is expected to be thoroughly versed, and preferably a Subject Matter Expert (SME), for the Liaison Engineering discipline and the MRB process.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience OR a Master’s Degree with 7 years of related experience
Experience in a technical leadership/management roles.
Material Review Board (MRB) Authority.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain Special Program Access.Â
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or PhD in ME, AE, or Civil Eng with (Structures) Design emphasis.
MES experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in staffing forecasting.
Current Active In-Scope DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
