Custodian

A Day in the Life  

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and office common areas used by employees and ensure procedures are executed according to current NRI safety protocols.  

What does success look like in this role 

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently and have great time management skills. They should be able to proactively identify areas that are in need of housekeeping and any safety issues and feel comfortable calling them out to someone on the leadership team so they can address them immediately.   

The following schedule is available for this role: 
Monday - Friday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Starting Pay: $19.00 (includes $1/hr shift differential)

The Must Haves: 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred 

• Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, sitting for long periods of time, occasionally walking, and standing, climbing ladders/stairs, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc. when stepping into the warehouse 

Things You Will be Doing 

• Disinfect various areas throughout the distribution center throughout the day, and keep the building neat, clean, free from clutter, and safe. 

• Pick up and remove trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, and use industrial cleaning equipment to clean multiple areas, including cleaning and stocking restrooms, beams, stairways, windows, etc. 

• Assist warehouse staff with restocking packing stations, fixing corrugated pallets, and other related duties as assigned 

• Report minor maintenance issues immediately to the supervisor or manager 

• Continually responsible for maintaining current housekeeping procedures and practicing all safety procedures 

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
