Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee field operations on multiple projects throughout Texas. The Senior Superintendent is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards and client expectations.
This position serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, project managers, clients, and vendors while maintaining efficient project execution.
This is a travel-required position. Employees must be willing to remain on job sites for up to seven (7) consecutive days. Due to weather conditions, some projects may experience downtime, requiring flexibility in scheduling and work assignments.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for multiple projects.
- Supervise and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment operations.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses according to plan.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specifications.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices on all job sites.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for project managers, clients, inspectors, and vendors.
- Verify completed quantities of work and ensure accurate, timely reporting to clients and the company office.
- Review and approve employee timecards for personnel under your supervision.
- Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections and communicate project progress to management.
- Mentor and support field employees while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Superintendent or in a construction leadership role is required.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and field operations.
- Experience supervising crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction management software, and general business applications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred. Company-sponsored OSHA training is available if needed.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred. Company-sponsored training is available if needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to walk active job sites for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as needed.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
