Job DetailsJob Location: Parts and Service - Pampa, TX 79065This position is responsible for supporting the Rebuild department by ensuring duties are performed in an efficient and effective manner, while achieving quality and safety standards. The Mechanic ensures functionality and reliability of equipment, engines, and mechanical systems in accordance with company protocols and industry standards.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES:  Build and assemble equipment or mechanical components according to requirements  Inspect equipment, engines, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues  Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner  Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems  Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components  Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment  Undertake other duties as assigned  Keep logs of work and report on issues  This is a "safety sensitive" position.  QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.      Candidate must be able to speak, read and write English  High School Diploma or GED required  3-5 years of experience working on General Moors engines 5.7L  Experience with Cummins preferred  Must have relevant coursework or technical training in mechanical repair    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and/or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; automated equipment, airborne particles; risk of electrical shock, and moving fork trucks.
