The C4N Production Manager will directly supervise all entry and mid-level staff to ensure their successful support of the U.S. Navy鈥檚 Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position is critical to the success of FWG鈥檚 partnership with the U.S. Navy. This position will manage all activities and the staff in an assembly function including a variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies and sub-assemblies.聽


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage the activities and staff in an assembly function including electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing and welding/fitting on assembly units

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Establish and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speed

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop and maintain professional, results-oriented relationships that strengthen FWG鈥檚 reputation and support positive outcomes through documented communication, timely response, and issue resolution

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Anticipate customer concerns and engage early to mitigate risk, resolve performance issues, and uphold FWG鈥檚 record of quality and reliability

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications, training, and clearance eligibility

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School Degree Required

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or other related field Required


Licenses & Certifications:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Active Secret Security Clearance

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Lean Manufacturing Certification, Six Sigma Certification or Project Management Certification (PMP) desired


Experience:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 8+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 8+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory and supply chain management, quality control and team management

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience in marine, aerospace or automotive industries preferred

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with lean manufacturing principles like waste reduction, process optimization and continuous improvement

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with manufacturing software (ex. ERP, MRP, or MES)

Skills & Abilities:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work with various levels of personnel including senior leadership
