Endoscopy Technician

Location: Panama City, FL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Bay

Department: Operating Room

Schedule: Day shift | Full-time | 8 or 10 hour shifts available | Call, holidays and weekends required

What You Will Do

• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient endoscopic procedures and seamless workflow throughout the day.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning to promote comfort, safety, and readiness before and during procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery and promptly communicate any changes in condition to the clinical team.
• Handle and manage specimens accurately to support timely diagnosis and continuity of patient care.
• Maintain endoscopy equipment and procedural areas to uphold infection prevention standards and ensure equipment readiness for future cases.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy or Operating Room experience.
