How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Manage and maintain the Trauma Registry to ensure accurate, complete data that supports high-quality trauma care and program performance.
  • Review and abstract trauma patient records carefully to capture essential clinical details that drive reporting, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze trauma data to identify trends and opportunities for quality improvement and support compliance with national trauma standards.
  • Generate and present quality assurance reports that help leadership monitor outcomes, strengthen processes, and maintain trauma program readiness.
  • Collaborate with trauma program leaders and clinical teams to address data discrepancies and support ongoing performance improvement initiatives.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registrar specializing in Trauma Registry obtained within 36 Months (3 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in trauma registry abstraction, coding, clinical documentation review, or trauma program data management. 
  • ICD10 coding experience or certification.
