POSITION SUMMARY

The Organic Growth Team (OGT) Operations Lead is responsible for identifying and removing operational barriers to organic growth across assigned Zeus hubs. The role uses operational, financial, and customer data to identify where performance is constraining revenue, implement practical solutions, and establish repeatable processes that remain in place after the OGT engagement. The Operations Lead partners with hub leadership, sales, service, installation, and other functional teams to ensure growth opportunities can be effectively sold, scheduled, delivered, and sustained.

The Operations Lead will be deployed to one to two hubs at a time based on identified growth opportunities. The role focuses on improving the operational execution required to support RMR, service, RVM, Core Four, and cross-sell growth.

The OGT operates as a small, semi-autonomous team that deploys together to priority Zeus hubs to accelerate identified organic growth opportunities. The OGT is the Operations Lead’s first team; the primary source of direction, standards, and accountability; even as the role works day-to-day embedded within, and in close partnership with, hub leadership. The Operations Lead operates with significant autonomy and influence, working alongside local teams rather than replacing hub operational leadership. The role is accountable for driving measurable improvements in capacity, productivity, and execution while building capabilities that the hub can sustain after the OGT engagement concludes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify Growth Opportunities

  • Use operational, financial, and customer data to identify performance gaps that are limiting organic revenue growth.
  • Assess service productivity, installation throughput, technician utilization, scheduling, backlog, staffing, and capacity to identify specific revenue opportunities.
  • Quantify the revenue impact of operational constraints and prioritize opportunities based on size, feasibility, and customer impact.
  • Identify underperforming branches, service lines, teams, and processes where targeted intervention can unlock growth.

Remove Operational Barriers

  • Partner with Sales and hub leadership to ensure the organization has the capacity to convert and execute new sales and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Identify and resolve constraints in staffing, scheduling, installation, service, and technician deployment that limit revenue.
  • Improve sales-to-operations handoffs, project throughput, service capacity, and technician utilization.
  • Ensure operations are prepared to support new services and Core Four offerings.

Drive Results

  • Lead targeted growth initiatives with clear objectives, owners, timelines, and metrics.
  • Establish baselines and track leading and lagging indicators to measure the impact of each initiative.
  • Use performance data to identify root causes, adjust actions, and hold teams accountable for results.
  • Measure impact through revenue growth, productivity, capacity, backlog reduction, customer retention, and other defined business outcomes.

Scale Successful Practices

  • Identify operating practices that produce measurable growth or productivity improvements.
  • Partner with hub and functional leaders to standardize and implement proven practices across the organization.
  • Develop practical playbooks, tools, and processes that can be replicated across hubs.
  • Share performance insights and lessons learned to continuously improve the OGT growth model.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive operations, service, installation, branch, or field leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of improving operational performance and business results.
  • Experience in fire, security, field services, EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction), commercial construction, or another operationally complex service environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of service and installation operations.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed or field-based teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including understanding of revenue, productivity, utilization, and margin drivers.
  • Ability to influence local leadership and drive change without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a multi-location environment.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or high-growth organizations preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work directly within assigned hubs.
  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to support business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:

  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 50%) to support operational initiatives.
