Job DetailsJob Location: TEP Rocky Mountain - Parachute, CO 81635Salary Range: $28.00 - $30.00 HourlyMeasurement Technician I   Overview  Salary Range $28.00-$30.00 Hourly  Position Type: Full Time  Position Summary : Entry-Level Measurement Technician is an entry-level position responsible for supporting accurate measurement, monitoring, and reporting of oil and gas production volumes. Working under close supervision, the technician assists with field data collection, routine inspections, and basic maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment including flow meters, gauges, and flow computers used in production, processing, and pipeline operations. The technician learns to ensure data integrity, support allocation and balancing processes, and helps maintain compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role also assists in troubleshooting measurement equipment, documenting calibration and inspection activities, and maintaining accurate records within company systems. Working in field environments, the technician follows all safety, environmental, and operational procedures while developing technical skills and industry knowledge. This position provides foundational experience in measurement operations and serves as a pathway to more advanced roles within the measurement discipline.   QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.   Basic understanding of math (algebra and unit conversions).   Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.   Ability to pass a company-required drug screening and background check.   Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.   Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and email).   Willingness to work in field environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions and remote locations.   Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with safety procedures.   Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn technical skills.   Preferred Qualifications: Technical certification or coursework in instrumentation, measurement, or related field.   Prior experience in oil and gas, industrial, or mechanical environments.   Familiarity with measurement equipment such as orifice meters, turbines, Coriolis meters, or flow computers.   Knowledge of basic pipeline or production operations.   Physical Demands:  Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as needed.   Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing in outdoor field environments.   Comfortable working at heights, around equipment, and in confined spaces when required.   Exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.   Ability to wear and operate required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.   Occasional travel to remote sites with extended periods in the field.   Availability for on-call, overtime, weekends, and holiday work as operational needs dictate.   Benefits Available:  Medical, Dental and Vision  Life Insurance Disability Retirement PTO Position open through Friday, September 11th.
