Position Title: Cage Supervisor
Department: Cage

Position Summary/General Description:
A Cage Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and verifying all cash transactions for departments andÂ
ensuring compliance with company internal controls, policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Â
ï‚· Adhere to all administrative policies (LDC Policy & Procedure Manual and departmentalÂ
procedures), safety rules and health regulations, and Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/TribalÂ
Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.
ï‚· Direct, train, monitor, and assign tasks to cage personnel.
ï‚· Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers and patrons andÂ
communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professionalÂ
work environment with cage personnel.
ï‚· Work odd or unusual hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
ï‚· Exercise strong motivational commitment to the organization, speak accurately and clearly to coworkers and guest.Â
ï‚· Exhibit strong knowledge of the cage procedures in a large-scale operations including but notÂ
limited to: ensure proper customer transactions by verifying large amounts of money/chipÂ
exchanges and conversions, counting, verifying, and signing for banks assigned, maintainingÂ
accurate records, operate computer/equipment, perform cage cashier duties as necessary or assignedÂ
and accomplish all tasks as appropriate.
ï‚· Adhere to Title 31 procedures.
ï‚· Ensure excellent customer and employee service and arbitrates disputes professionally.Â
ï‚· Maintain a flexible schedule to open and close cage as necessary.
ï‚· Exercise basic knowledge in management, human resources and budgeting.
ï‚· Maintain strong knowledge with money handling, counting, and complex mathematical skills.
ï‚· Actively participate in Supervisory Development Leadership Series (SDLS) yearly.
ï‚· Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learnÂ
guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eyeÂ
contact and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; and provide fastÂ
and friendly service to guests).
ï‚· Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive workÂ

ï‚· Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings, providingÂ
accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.Â
ï‚· At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDCÂ
personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
ï‚· Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusualÂ
hours, weekends and holidays.
ï‚· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience
ï‚· High School diploma or GED Certification preferred.Â
ï‚· Must have two (2) years of experience in demonstrating supervisory abilities involving cash handling.
ï‚· Must have relevant work experience in cash handling or cage cashier capacity.
Licensing & Certification:
ï‚· None.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
ï‚· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),Â
ï‚· Experience with Kronos (Timekeeper Software), and Paramount (Purchasing Software).
ï‚· Experience with operating counting equipment such as: money sorters, counters, and ten 10 keyÂ
calculator.
Essential Physical Requirements:Â
ï‚· Requires employee to hear, sit, talk, and repetitively use hands the majority of the time.
ï‚· Requires employee to occasionally stand and walk.Â
ï‚· Requires employee to occasionally push/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs.Â
Essential Mental Demands:
ï‚· Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan, make decisions, interpret data, read and writeÂ
the majority of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
ï‚· Train, discipline, schedule, apportion work among employees, appraise productivity, and measureÂ
performance. Defer hire and fire recommendations to cage manager.
Work Environment (inside/outside):
ï‚· This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard officeÂ
equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Â
ï‚· The job is performed indoors in a Casino environment with frequent exposure smoke (e.g., cigaretteÂ
smoke).Â
Other Requirements:
ï‚· Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board andÂ
must provide/maintain a valid New Mexico drivers’ license.
