DESM Snack Bar Clerk

The DESM Snack Bar Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Marketplace snack bar. This role greets guests in a friendly and professional manner, takes food and beverage orders, prepares and serves menu items to customer specifications, processes payments through the MICROS point-of-sale system, and maintains accurate cash handling procedures. The Snack Bar Clerk promotes products and specials, ensures food quality standards are met, stocks and rotates inventory, replenishes condiments and beverage stations, and maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Employees are expected to uphold Laguna Development Corporation’s Core Values, policies, and procedures, consistently demonstrate professionalism and respect toward customers and coworkers, build positive guest relationships, and act with urgency to deliver fast, friendly service while minimizing wait times.

The position requires maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with Food Systems Food Safety & Sanitation guidelines and HACCP requirements. The Snack Bar Clerk must work independently, follow directions, collaborate effectively as a team player, and provide guests with accurate information regarding property amenities, promotions, and special events. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess relevant work experience, and have basic mathematical skills, with fast-food and cash-handling experience preferred. The role involves operating food service equipment, including beverage dispensers, coffee and tea brewers, ice cream makers, and fryers. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, repetitive hand use, reaching, kneeling, bending, and occasionally lifting or moving items weighing up to 30 pounds. The position is performed indoors in a restaurant environment, requires regular attendance including weekends and holidays, successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and obtaining ServSafe Certification within 90 days of hire or transfer. No supervisory responsibilities or licensing requirements are associated with this role.
