We are seeking an experienced Power and Energy Manager to lead the commercial development and performance of a Power and Energy division.
This senior leadership position combines business development, technical solution selling, team management and responsibility for the division’s financial performance. The successful candidate will develop new business across the power generation, renewable energy, industrial, marine and oil & gas sectors while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the division’s commercial, sales and market-development strategy.
- Identify new power and energy projects and business opportunities across the region.
- Build business cases and sales plans for equipment, energy solutions, products and aftersales services.
- Lead a consultative, solutions-oriented approach to customers’ operational and investment needs.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with private-sector and government customers.
- Oversee quotations, pricing, sales coverage and CRM activity.
- Manage the division’s budget, forecasts, costs and profit-and-loss performance.
- Recruit, manage, coach and develop the Power and Energy team.
- Coordinate closely with the company’s sales, rental, product support, marketing and operational departments.
- Support new product introductions and commercial-excellence initiatives.
- Prepare monthly performance and financial reports for senior management.
- Ensure that health, safety, environmental and quality standards are integrated into daily activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Management, Economics or a related discipline.
- At least five to eight years of commercial or sales experience involving power systems, energy solutions or technical equipment.
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience.
- Proven experience in consultative and solutions-oriented selling.
- Experience developing and executing capital-investment projects.
- Strong knowledge of power generation, energy systems and their operation and maintenance.
- Expertise in renewable energy, marine, industrial or oil & gas applications.
- Experience in project development and project management.
- Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting and divisional P&L management.
- An established professional network within relevant industries and government institutions in the region would be highly advantageous.
- Experience with leading international power-system or equipment manufacturers is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP and Microsoft 365 systems.
