Position Summary

The Informaticist, RN is a key member of the Digital Health Informatics team at the Valley Health System. In this capacity, the Informaticist is integrally involved in end-user adoption of healthcare technology and reports to the Manager of Digital Health Informatics. The Informaticist works closely with Nurses, Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and Information Systems staff to support the highest quality of care, safety initiatives, and clinical efficiencies in the health system through optimal use of technology.

Education

A Registered Professional Nurse, licensed in the State of New Jersey

BSN required

Certification or Master’s degree in an Informatics related field is strongly preferred

Experience

Minimum Three (3) years' experience in Clinical nursing

Informatics related work experience preferred
Med/Surg experience and teaching/training experience strongly preferred.

Skills

* Experience in Meditech and Athena as an end-user is highly preferred

* Experience in Meditech and Athena with design, build and implementation is considered an asset
