How you’ll contribute 

A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:

 

  • Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

  • Under the supervision of physicians or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.

  •  Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.

  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. 

  • Maintains examination areas.

  •  Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

  • Other tasks as requested/assigned.

What we’re looking for

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent

  • Licenses: Required: CCMA, CMA or RMA Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire

 

Schedule: 5x8, Day shift, rotating weekends
