This home health COTA job is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible occupational therapy assistant jobs in Dallas \ Fort Worth, autonomy in the field, and meaningful one-on-one patient care in the home setting. Job Responsibilities Provide skilled home health occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Implement and carry out individualized Plans of Care (POC) developed by the supervising OT Provide treatment for orthopedic, neurological, cognitive, and post-surgical conditions Address ADLs and IADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and home management tasks Facilitate improvements in upper extremity strength, coordination, ROM, balance, and functional mobility Implement fall prevention strategies and home safety interventions Train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and durable medical equipment (DME) Recommend environmental modifications to improve safety and independence Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Communicate effectively with the supervising OT, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members Follow all home health regulations, infection control standards, and safety guidelines Participate in QAPI and agency performance improvement initiatives This PRN Home Health COTA job in Dallas \ Fort Worth, TX offers flexibility, strong therapist support, and field autonomy.
