Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Environmental Services Aide, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards.Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens.To be successful in this role, you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients, visitors, and staff. A well-maintained facility with compassionate staff brings comfort and peace of mind to patients, their loved ones, and all who serve here.

 

What you'll do...

  • Maintain and clean all department floors areas according to establish standards
  • Maintain and clean all public area carpets or floors
  • Remove all trash, biohazards, soiled linen to designated areas for pickup
  • Maintain all grounds area by mowing or snow removal
  • Restock any and all supplies within department areas
  • Identifies and reports work orders to maintenance department

Job Requirements

Preferred

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Healthcare housekeeping experience.
