Purpose Statement of Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church seeks to transform lives through loving relationships with God, each other, and those who don’t know Jesus yet.



Position Summary

To work with the church staff to ensure that assigned rooms are set up and torn down before and after specific events and done with excellence removing and storing tables, chairs, opening/closing hanging walls, equipment, etc. as directed.

 

General Qualifications

  1. Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the demonstration of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  2. Wholeheartedly agrees with the Crossroads Community Church purpose, values, priorities, mission, bylaws, and lives a lifestyle appropriate to a person in Christian ministry.
  3. Willing to be a part of Crossroads Community Church and to regularly and consistently attend a weekend worship service.
  4. Demonstrates skills in relating to and working with people, especially volunteers, church staff, the congregation and others, within a team environment.
  5. Manages personal and family life in such a way they model the teachings of God’s Word.
  6. Agrees to abide by the staff handbook and sign the Crossroads Statement of Faith.
  7. Serve as a productive and positive team player with the staff.
  8. Must pass the pre-employment background screening.
  9. Must attend the Joining Crossroads class.

 

Position Qualifications/Specifications

Minimum/Preferred Experience:        At least 1 year of volunteer or staff ministry experience preferred


Minimum/Preferred Education:         High school diploma or GED preferred


Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:      

  • Able to lift, stack and move chairs.
  • Able to lift, fold, place, and rack folding tables.
  • Able to open and close movable handing walls.
  • Able to roll up and lower down room curtains.
  • Above average team building skills.
  • Able to recruit, train and lead volunteers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for long stretches of time


Employment Status:                         Casual; on call; part-time as needed.

Employment Classification:             Non-Exempt; hourly


 Specific Responsibilities, Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide spiritual and ministry modeling in Christ-like living and leading. Demonstrating and promoting a culture of spiritual growth, personal management and self-care by:
    1. Being attentive to God, family, and work duties.
    2. Praying for other staff and their families, as well as prayer requests submitted by the congregation.
    3. Genuinely caring for the staff and families of Crossroads.
    4. Contribution to the ongoing improvement, development, and positive support of the staff.
  2. Promote and comply with departmental and organizational policies such as:
    1. Consistent and timely delivery of accounting documentation, as applicable, such as: receipts, expense reimbursement requests, check requests, time sheets, etc.
    2. Excellent time management to effectively and efficiently accomplish the job duties and responsibilities on a consistent basis within time limits defined by the job description.
    3. Punctual and consistent attendance for work assignments.
    4. Consistently honor, respect, and promote positive staff health and unity with positive relationships, including supporting supervisory and management decisions.
    5. Reliably complying with established and dynamic department and organizational practices and policies.
  3. Move, stack/unstack, and set up tables and chairs for Women’s Ministry events and other ministry events as needed.
  4. Open and close movable hanging walls.
  5. Lower and raise room dividing curtains.
  6. Early morning (ex: 6am-7am) and late evening hours (ex: 9pm-10pm) may be scheduled.
  7. Hours may be worked independently or as part of a team.
  8. Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
