As a tool and die maker with us, you will get to use blueprints to determine project specifications, set up and operate machine tools, finish and adjust parts, and test tools to ensure quality standards are met. You will also get to make use of your outstanding mechanical and mathematical skills while crafting tools and dies. This position is excellent for anyone with exceptional technical expertise and a positive, team-oriented attitude looking to work for a company where they can grow and hone their skills.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Troubleshooting of all stamping dies, die cast molds, injection rubber/nylon molds
  • Repair and maintenance of all stamping dies, die cast molds, injection rubber/nylon molds and tooling to support production needs
  • Assist with Quality Circle activities within the die maintenance teams
  • Assist production when required

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman’s card or 5 years documented related experience in the trade  
  • Excellent visual accuracy
  • Excellent technical skills, with the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
  • Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to mentally add, subtract, divide and multiply.
  • 2nd Shift.

Desired:

  • Formal training at a recognized trade school
  • College or equipment maker
  • Experience in all areas of die maintenance
