Production Manager

Maintenance Division

Position Summary

Pine Lake Nursery & Landscape is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead landscape maintenance operations and ensure exceptional service delivery across a portfolio of commercial properties.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, developing high-performing teams, driving quality standards, promoting a culture of safety, and maximizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building successful teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily landscape maintenance operations, routing, and crew scheduling.

  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

  • Monitor production performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency.

  • Manage equipment allocation and utilization across assigned crews.

  • Maintain accurate property maps, routing information, and operational records.

  • Ensure all contract specifications and service expectations are met.

Quality Control

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.

  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions proactively.

  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.

  • Partner with Account Managers to address client concerns and service requests.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Foremen and field personnel.

  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures.

  • Conduct field training and provide ongoing development opportunities.

  • Promote a positive, safety-focused, and team-oriented work environment.

  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts.

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Monitor labor efficiency, production rates, and crew performance.

  • Assist in managing operational budgets and controlling costs.

  • Ensure resources are utilized effectively to maximize profitability.

  • Support strategic planning and operational improvements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety observations and field audits.

  • Ensure crews maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Foster a culture where safety is a daily priority.

Business Growth Support

  • Identify enhancement opportunities and communicate them to Account Managers.

  • Support business growth initiatives through operational excellence.

  • Assist with planning and executing enhancement projects when needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of landscape maintenance, operations, or production management experience.

  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple crews and supervisors.

  • Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and field operations.

  • Experience with routing, scheduling, workforce planning, and production management.

  • Understanding of production rates, contracts, budgets, and operational performance metrics.

  • Ability to read and interpret property plans and site maps.

  • Experience creating or utilizing Gantt charts and project schedules preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software platforms; Aspire experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
