Job Purpose

The Director, Project Management oversees Project Management team and the planning, implementation, and tracking implementations of our Med-Metrix Suite of Products and Services. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with a cross-functional team comprised of MMX teammates and client stakeholders to; plan, coordinate, implement and finalize projects according to the specifications and deadlines, all while keeping the project within budget
  • Work in conjunction with MMX sales, data, operations and technical stakeholders to define the project’s objectives, create schedules and oversee quality control throughout the entire project.
  • To deliver the project according to plan, you will also need to attain resources, manage the MMX team, the client, any third-party contractors and/or consultants. In addition, you will need to be able to identify, assess and minimize project risks until successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define the scope of the project
  • Create detailed project plans which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the resources required to complete the project
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Manage project staff (internal and external) according to the established policies and practices of the organization
  • Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project
  • Execute the project according to the project plan
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
  • Write reports on the project for management 
  • Communicate with Clients and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor all budgeted project expenditures
  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date (i.e. Clicktime)
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Escalate all outstanding items and identified risks in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for ensuring that remote client access to is disabled for terminated or transferred employees when applicable in a timely fashion
  • Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times and ensure all direct reports are trained and in compliance of said policies and procedures at all times.
  • Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and enforce such for all direct reports
  • Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties for your respective team
  • Report any security or HIPAA violations or concerns for your team to the HIPAA Officers in a timely fashion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Ability to develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization and to create new opportunities
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization
  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization
  • Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities
  • Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results
  • Experience with classroom- based software training, preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Ability to lead cross-functional internal and external calls with confidence
  • Independent and self-motivated 
  • Energetic with strong desire to learn

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed
  • Travel to client sites will be required
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
  • Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
