Strategic Client Executive

The Strategic Client Executive is a senior strategic account management role responsible for engaging with Senior Vice President–level executives within an assigned client base. This position partners with up to sixty clients to develop account strategies aligned to industry priorities while collaborating closely with the Partner Executive and Industry Strategist.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with Senior VP–level client executives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business challenges and goals through effective engagement.
  • Lead the business planning process in partnership with the client, with a focus on account-level planning.
  • Build a 12–18 month account roadmap aligned with the broader industry roadmap.
  • Drive profitable growth through value-driven customer engagements, contract retention and expansion, and the addition of new services.
  • Proactively engage and align sales, operations, and SME resources to support client initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership to strengthen trust, confidence, and influence with clients.
  • Clearly articulate Ricoh’s industry position and value proposition.
  • Build internal relationships to support account retention, expansion, and day‑to‑day sales activities.
  • Understand and navigate the customer’s approval process through key sponsors.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Leverage CRM tools to enter and track all sales data and activities daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10 plus years of account management experience.
  • Experience working with executive leaders in Fortune 1000 organizations.
  • Experience driving growth in services-based offerings.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to generate creative ideas and solutions.

  • Strong understanding of solution design processes.
  • Technology‑savvy and adaptable.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

  • Work is typically performed in a standard office environment with appropriate lighting, ventilation, and moderate noise levels.
  • Work assignments are varied; requires interpreting and applying complex data and information.
  • Minimal physical effort required; primarily sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, or lifting items under 10 lbs.
  • Moderate dexterity required for standard office tools (keyboard, calculator, etc.).
  • Approximately 20% travel required, including overnight travel.
