Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrical Engineer of all levels to join our team! In this role you will get to oversee the production of design deliverables for exciting and complex engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Function as discipline lead engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
  • Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering project requiring a large-scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.
  • Leads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
  • Mentors junior engineers and designers.
  • Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
  • Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the professional engineering seal and signature when required by statute or contract.
  • Prepares material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
  • Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations.
  • Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
  • Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.  May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
  • Recommends and prepares technical papers.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 12+ years of related electrical engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi-use buildings
  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70
  • Good communication skills are needed, this position will interact with the client
  • The ability to lead an electrical engineering team in the execution of complex infrastructure projects
  • Experience producing design documents for industrial and commercial facilities including Drawings and Specifications
  • Experience producing calculations required for electrical distribution designs including: Load analysis, Short circuit calculations, Voltage drop calculations, Arc flash calculations, Coordination studies, Lightning protection design analysis, Ground resistance models
  • PE registration is required
  • US citizen or green card holder

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Design-build experience is a plus
