2026 Summer Intern

 

Location:

This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working at the following address: 74 N Pasadena Ave, Pasadena, CA.

 

Department Details:

CDTS SCAL and HI Care Delivery Technology Services Strategy & Consulting is accountable for facilitating the technology investments and implementation of projects that support the enterprise and market strategic goals. Responsibilities include governance support, project delivery & execution, product / solution validation and change management. A key focus for this position will be to participate in care transformation efforts to design processes and solutions enabled by technology and AI tools. 

 

Internship Projects:

SCAL/HI Governance Automation - leverage modern technology and tools to design and implement AI-enabled intelligent solutions to support the SCAL/HI Technology Strategy Council and Governance process. Partner with a team to transform the current manual strategy management and governance process to be AI enabled. Learn how to use collaboration tools within the Microsoft suite of products to optimize processes for information dissemination, content creation and executive approvals. Learn data management principles to create executive dashboards to facilitate huddles and status report outs.

 

Target Majors:

Computer Science; Business Administration; Data Science; Math/Statistics

 

Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Teams, SharePoint).
Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation and Power BI for dashboard creation.
Basic understanding of AI concepts, automation principles, and governance frameworks.
Knowledge of data management fundamentals (data validation, structured data handling).

 

Analytical & Process Skills
Ability to analyze workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.
Competence in researching and documenting technical solutions.
Skills in creating executive-ready dashboards and reports.

 

Soft Skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Attention to detail for compliance and governance documentation.
Adaptability and learning mindset to quickly pick up new technologies.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or exposure to data analytics, AI concepts, or IT governance.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Databricks or similar tools.
Interest in AI, technology, and automation strategies.
