Expectations:

Provides administrative assistance and support as a member of the Gifts team in the hospital's Office of Philanthropy, including support for day-to-day office operations, donor correspondence, and project coordination needs. The successful candidate will assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercises initiative and judgment. Contributes to a positive and professional work environment. This position requires a high degree of diplomacy and involves matters of a confidential and sensitive nature. This position may require flexibility of hours. EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of three years of experience in office management or secretarial at an executive level, preferably with hospital experience or knowledge of medical terminology.

SKILLS:
Possesses a mastery of office skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage time, work independently on work assignments, and exercise initiative and judgment.
Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfort communicating by phone and in person with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and colleagues.
Ability to maintain a professional level of comportment and be sensitive to issues of confidentiality.
Flexibility to support project coordination, multiple priorities, and competing demands.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to shift tasks to meet department needs.
Excellent organizational skills.
Interest and ability to learn new technology that supports the Office of Philanthropy, including fundraising databases and other digital office tools.
