  • Licensure as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) and Medical Radiographer in Texas is mandatory upon hire, with additional certification in Computed Tomography required within nine months.
  • The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Where You’ll Work

St. Luke's Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services—wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women’s services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Performs CT exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
  • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
  • Problem‐solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative or CES regarding equipment problems
  • Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
  • Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
  • Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure

 

Job Requirements

Required

High School or GED

General Studies upon hire

Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) within 14 - days

 

 

Preferred

Associates 

One (1) year of experience as a radiographer

or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting

 

Licensure and Certifications

Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) upon Hire- Required

Medical Radiographer: TX (MRAD:TX)- upon Hire- Required

Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT) within 9 months
