Duties: Checks towed vehicles in and out of City storage lot. Performs certain preventative maintenance procedures on City vehicles. Tows all vehicles into city Impound Facility As requested by Pasadena Police and other Departments. Checks towed vehicles in and out of City storage lot. Must give close attention to details of vehicles condition at time of acceptance from towing company and obtain signatures from drivers of the tow trucks. Releases vehicles to owner or authorized agent, insuring proper paperwork has been completed. Obtains signatures on all appropriate paperwork. Assists in record keeping for storage yard. Must be able to properly and thoroughly complete all required paperwork to maintain accurate records of vehicles and their disposition. Checks fluid levels in City vehicles while vehicles are being fueled. Performs certain preventative maintenance procedures on City wreckers as needed. Such procedures will include but will not be limited to, lubricating, checking fluid levels, conditioning of brake lights, and other items as instructed and needed. Safely tows vehicles (both City owned and Impounded) to City Fleet Facility. Maintain fuel-island in a safe operating condition. Safely receive fuel deliveries, accurately record fuel data, and help keep fuel-island TCEQ compliant. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: One year certificate from college or technical school; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Texas Driver's License necessary and good driving record. Must maintain a current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) License. Work a rotating shift including weekends and holidays.

    • From 11 to less than 21 years of service – four weeks of vacation per year.
    • From 21 to less than 26 years of service – five weeks of vacation per year.
    • From 26 years of service and up – six weeks of vacation per year.
