Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control Patrol in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a caring campus environment. Pay Rate: $21.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and campus information, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
