Outreach Assistant -Â Position Profile

The School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary’s Pasadena, CA campus invites applications for a part-time, on-site Work-Study position as an Outreach Assistant at Fuller Psychological and Family Services (FPFS). FPFS is the clinic of the Fuller School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy (SoPMFT).

The FPFS Outreach assistant will help promote FPFS services to churches, other non-profits, local businesses, and the local Pasadena community, utilizing channels such as personal visits, phone calls, emails, and social media. The Outreach assistant will also assist in the generation of content to utilize through those channels. This is a non-exempt hourly position reporting directly to the FPFS Director of Administration.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborating with the FPFS Executive Director, the FPFS Director of Administration, and various SoPMFT faculty, the Outreach Assistant will engage in the following activities:
- Develop an understanding of FPFS promotional needs by meeting with the following stakeholders:
- FPFS leaders, to assist in generating/managing referrals for FPFS services
- MFT faculty-led Practicum (FLP) leaders, to assist them in attracting participants for the MFT FLP program hosted by FPFS
- SoPMFT PsyD Chair, who has been assigned outreach responsibilities related to the Eaton Fire
- Develop promotional content
- Develop informational brochures to help explain FPFS services
- Utilize various channels to disseminate promotional content
- Visit with church, non-profit, and business leaders to discuss ways to get information out to their members. This may result in leaders inviting you to speak at meetings, provide information to them for posting, etc.
- Email informational brochures to organizations as they deem helpful
- Administration
- Update FPFS Facebook content as needed
- Respond to inquiries received through FPFS’s Meta presence

Qualifications
- Enrolled as MFT, PhD, or PsyD SoPMFT student in good standing
- Meet the qualifications for participation in the Work-Study program
- Fluency in Korean, Spanish, or Mandarin preferred but not required
- Excited about speaking to large groups and developing new relationships
