Summary/Objective

The Scaffold Leadman position will be responsible to handle, but is not limited to the following:

Essential Function

Ā· Construct, erect, install, modified scaffold structures of wood and scaffold materials, using scaffold tools and some power tools when required.

Ā· Work at heights with no fear.

Ā· Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Ā· Measure, mark, cut, and assemble materials to specified dimensions, using a ruler, pencil, hand tools, and power saws when required.

Ā· Determines type of scaffold needed and how to properly instruct on how to install.

Ā· Oversight of transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erecting the scaffold as instructed by OSHA specifications.

Ā· Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.

Ā· Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.

Ā· Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.

Ā· Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.

Ā· Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.

Requirements

Tools Required: Scaffold hammer, 6ā€ levels, 25’ tape measure, hand saw, pliers, #9 wire cutting pliers, 7/8 scaffold wrench. 7/8 open end, crescent wrench.

Required Education and Experience

Ā· High school diploma preferred.

Ā· 3 to 5 years of trade experience.

Ā· Basic plus.

Ā· TWIC card.

Ā· Ability to pass site specific training courses in English.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands

Physical stamina. Must have the endurance to perform strenuous tasks throughout the day. Frequent standing, walking and direct face to face customer service interaction. Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawl, climbing, shoveling, and working with wide hand & power tools.

Ā·Ā Physical strength. Must often lift heavy materials or equipment, which typically weigh more than 40 pounds each.
