Job Description:
This role will require candidate to work onsite at 3 centers in the Sacramento and Carmichael, CA areas.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
Provide diagnostic services, clinical counseling and recommendations for pupils with special needs.
Provide Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) as required in the student Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Observe students; assess, evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and write psychological reports and IEP goals.
Participate in the decision-making process regarding appropriate/beneficial placement of students.
Provide training, group counseling and collaborative interventions with the school psychologist as needed.
Participate in Individual Education Program meetings with students and parents as needed.
Participate in weekly clinical supervision by LMFT supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of State and Federal Laws related to Educationally Related Mental Health Services.
Experience with adolescents with successful outcomes related to learning.
Knowledge of evaluation and research techniques, strategies and procedures.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Ability to communicate well with students, parents and teachers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:
Two years clinical experience preferred.
Experience working within a school system.
Education and Experience:
Must be a Valid California Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor.Â
