Preventative Maintenance Worker C

GENERAL FUNCTION: Implements Preventative Maintenance Procedures for all vessel equipment, in compliance with customer and Vendor requirements.


TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.

Conducts and completes all required Preventative Maintenance activities specified by Vendor, Customer, and department Foreman.


Maintains Preventative Maintenance documents for all projects. Submits Procedures as assigned. Addresses deficiencies evidenced as a result of PM and works with dept. Manager and Vendors to correct deficiencies.


DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Considerable knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry standards and regulations. Good knowledge of testing equipment and measuring devices. Ability to interpret engineering drawings. Ability to effectively interact with customers, management, and employees in all areas within the division. Must possess basic Mechanics hand tools.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: 0-3 years’ experience in shipboard Mechanics and/or Electrical disciplines or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
