Job Title: Material Coordinator C

General Function

The Material Coordinator C supports Material Control operations by tracking and coordinating the flow of materials necessary for shipyard projects. This entry level role would maintain documentation for material movement and storage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Material Control with the tracking and management of all warehouse inventory.
  • Kit materials based on spreadsheets or generated lists from Central Planning.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to check material availability or identify back-ordered items.
  • Arrange for the transportation of available materials to job sites.
  • Follow up on back-ordered materials to ensure timely availability.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork for material receipt, storage, and movement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Experience in operating equipment such as forklifts, or skid steers, excavators or tractors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with shipyard terminology.

Experience & Training

  • Prior shipbuilding experience is recommended.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or materials control environment.
  • Competency with spreadsheets and inventory management systems.
