Description
Â
We’re hiring a solid diesel and trailer tech for our Pasco operation. This is a hands-on role working on customer fleets, not our own trucks. About half the job is shop-based and about half is yard-based, so this is best for someone who is comfortable moving between both environments and can stay productive without needing constant direction.
This role is centered on diesel trucks and trailers. Experience with gas trucks is a plus, but diesel and trailer capability is the priority.
What the job looks like;Â
You’ll be working on customer fleet equipment to keep it safe, road-ready, and in service. That includes PM work, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and identifying issues before they become breakdowns or downtime problems.
A big part of the work will involve trailers, diesel trucks, and fleet service work. That may include brake work, suspension, wheel-end issues, lighting and electrical repairs, PM services, DOT-related items, and general running repairs. Some jobs will be done in the shop and some out in the yard, depending on the unit and the work needed.
This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who can come in and contribute, stay organized, document work correctly, and handle a good portion of day-to-day service and repair work without someone standing over them.
What we're looking for;Â
This role is a fit for an experienced Technician.
You should have real hands-on experience with diesel equipment, trailers, or fleet maintenance work. You do not need to be perfect at everything, but you need to be able to inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and complete quality repair work in a steady, dependable way.
The strongest candidates will have experience with:
- diesel trucks
- trailers
- preventive maintenance and inspections
- brake, suspension, and electrical work
- basic diagnostics and repair documentation
Gas truck experience is a bonus, not the main focus.
Who does well here;Â
The people who do best in this role are dependable, practical, and comfortable with real fleet work. If you’re the kind of tech who can move between shop work and yard work, handle diesel and trailer issues without a lot of drama, and help keep customer equipment moving, we’d like to talk.
