Passionately in pursuit of the perfect beer… and never satisfied.    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:  Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:  Greet guests, provide customers menus and/or inform them of the QR code scanner   Take and deliver food and beverage orders while answering menu and beer-related questions   Understand the fundamentals of the beers offered and the brewing process  Know the menu items, including basic ingredients, preparation, allergies, and sensory descriptions (i.e., sweet, savory, spicy, roasted, etc.)  Process POS transactions accurately, including cash and card payments  Monitor tables and respond promptly to guest needs through service  Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and service areas  Resolve guest concerns professionally and notify management when needed   Enhance guest experience through attentive and proactive service  Wear the correct uniform and maintain neat, clean appearance  Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations  Maintain a working knowledge of all company and taproom policies and procedures  Perform other duties as assigned   Qualifications High School diploma or higher, must be 18 years of age or older  Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Card within new hire training period  Must be able to obtain California Responsible Beverage Service certification within new hire training period  Must be available to work weekends  Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant doing above or similar duties or prior customer service experience is preferred  Very strong organizational skills.   Ability to always maintain professionalism even under high volume, stressful times, and situations  Ability to manage and multitask in a fast-paced environment.   Ability to give high priority to customer satisfaction.    What Firestone Walker Offers:   Employee discount of 50% off food, beer, and merchandise  Periodic beer giveaways for employees 21+  Flexible Savings Account (FSA)   Paid Sick Leave   401(k) retirement plan including company paid profit sharing & 4% safe-harbor matching  Employee Assistance Program (EAP)    The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
