Position Summary:


The Safety Coordinator will support the field team through compliance and safety. They will be working towards driving culture and tracking compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ensures completion of all clients required training/orientation for both safety and environmental.
  • Conduct and provide oversight for accident/incident investigations and complete reports to be uploaded into client’s internal portal.
  • Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
  • Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
  • Conducts safety inspections, observations, and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage customer required system compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or other equivalent practice.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations.
  • CHST and/or CUSP or other equivalent certification preferred.

 

Skills, Specialized Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Outgoing personality, self-motivated.
  • Excellent customer service, telephonic, electronic, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with, persuade, and gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders from a new crew to senior executive leader.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must have organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision.
  • Must embrace a team based, initiative driven environment.
  • Must possess a level of technical expertise.
