Job Description Summary

Job Description

• Chemigation:  Mixes and applies water run pesticides

• Fertigation: Applies water run liquid fertilizer

• In-Furrow: Mixes and applies a fertilizer and/or pesticides at planting or cultivation that is applied directly to the furrow

• Spraying: Mixes and applies a fertilizer and/or pesticide to roadsides, around buildings, or other areas, which includes backpack sprayers, road sprayer, etc.

• Calibration: Calibrates fertilizer and/or pesticide delivery systems, such as fertilizer delivery system on planters, seed treatment applications, or in-furrow pesticide applications

• Equipment Maintenance: Repairs and maintains all chemigation equipment, including any fabrication or installation of new equipment

• Housekeeping: Cleaning and maintaining vehicles and areas such as shop area, chemical storage area, containment areas, airstrips, and compost tea area

• Pesticide Delivery: Delivers pesticides to airstrip, ground rigs, costumers, circles, etc.

• Cross Training: Cross-trained on the following positions – Operator, Truck Driver, Soil Sampler, and Mix Man

• Fumigation Oversight: Oversee incoming and receiving product from inventory from our chemical storage.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Basic and Preferred Qualifications: (Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job or be considered)

Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience:

• A Washington State Commercial Pesticide License, with all categories pertaining to the agricultural business preferred or private applicator license.
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
