Helper Rate: $$ per hour
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced helpers to support a senior mother with dementia and limited mobility. She primarily uses a wheelchair and requires hands-on assistance with daily care, along with patience and understanding in managing dementia-related behaviors such as agitation and sundowning.
Care Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (bathing, dressing, mobility support)
- Provide safe transfers and wheelchair assistance
- Support with meal preparation and feeding if needed
- Perform light housekeeping and dishwashing
- Assist with light exercises and mobility routines
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Manage dementia-related behaviors, including agitation and sundowning
- 5 days per week
- 5 hours per day
- Consistent weekly schedule
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in dementia care (including behavior management)
- Patient, calm, and compassionate demeanor
- Comfortable assisting with limited mobility and wheelchair use
- Reliable and consistent with schedule
