Full-Time Property Manager & Maintenance Technician

Ridgeview Commons – Prineville, Oregon

Ridgeview Commons is seeking a motivated, dependable individual to serve in a unique full-time dual role as both Property Manager and Maintenance Technician. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and making a meaningful impact in an affordable housing community.

As the face of the community, you'll provide excellent customer service while also ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents.

What You'll Do

Property Management Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a 40-unit affordable housing community.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.

  • Process applications, leasing, move-ins, move-outs, and annual recertifications.

  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing and tax credit program requirements.

  • Collect rent and maintain accurate resident files and records.

  • Coordinate resident communications and community activities.

  • Work with vendors, contractors, and company leadership to ensure smooth operations.

  • Maintain occupancy goals and promote resident satisfaction.

Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and appliance repair.

  • Complete work orders promptly and professionally.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine property inspections.

  • Prepare apartments for new residents, including turnovers and make-ready work.

  • Maintain the grounds and common areas to ensure a clean, attractive community.

  • Coordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs as needed.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for maintenance emergencies, if applicable.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Enjoys working independently and managing multiple responsibilities.

  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.

  • Has general maintenance and repair experience.

  • Can prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively.

  • Is comfortable using computers and learning property management software.

  • Can lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties required of property maintenance.

  • Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous property management experience preferred.

  • Experience with affordable housing, HUD, or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs is a plus.

  • General maintenance or apartment maintenance experience preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
