Mill Creek Machining is seeking all levels of CNC Machinists to join their team in Paullina & Spencer, IA. Substantial shift differential included with night shift.

CNC Machinist Location: Paullina & Spencer, IA
Hours: Dayshift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Nightshift: Monday – Thursday 4:50 PM – 2:50 AM
Pay: $20-$25 DOE
A weekly attendance bonus will be added to each pay period when all scheduled hours are worked*

*Our machine shop is 100% climate controlled*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor machine performance and identify out-of-tolerance conditions and verify cycle times on all jobs
Utilize precision measuring tools to verify part conformance
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and work instructions
Make machine adjustments within operating capabilities to maintain quality standards
Produce quality parts while maintaining close tolerances and maximum efficiency
Inspect machine and work area in general for proper order and operation.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, production control, and shop personnel to resolve manufacturing issues
Makes routine offsets and able to ascertain the need for changing inserts and capable of doing so as needed.
Able to change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by crew chief.
Assist with troubleshooting machining processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Competent in all the duties of a trainee and performs all tasks assigned by supervision/management.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

High school diploma or GED.
1+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
