 Job Description

 

Position Title: GSR – Guest Services Representative 

Department: Gaming

Reports To: Electronic Gaming Manager (EGM)

 

FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt

 

SUMMARY:  Provides excellent guest service to all guests and ensures slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for full capacity operation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides superior guest service to all guests.
  • Remains knowledgeable about how games are played to assist guests in finding basic help or game play information on electronic gaming machines.
  • Processes hand pays and jackpots.
  • Services minor machine malfunctions.
  • To promote products and services offered by the casino.
  • Assists in maintaining clean facilities.
  • Maintains consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  None

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or general educational degree (GED) required.  Guest service experience and/or knowledge required.  Previous casino experience preferred.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  Must be able to obtain gaming license. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, vendors, managers, and customers.  Ability to write routine correspondence. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:  Must maintain professional behavior and have exceptional guest service skills, both internal and external, at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.  The team member is occasionally required to reach with hands and continuously repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times as in typing.  The team member will frequently interact with other team members.  Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  The team member may occasionally lift up to 75 pounds, such as boxes of paper.
