Position Summary: 

As our CNC Machinist Set Up / Operator A you will be responsible for the operation and set up of Lathe machines within a dynamic, high-paced environment. Key duties include interpreting technical drawings, determining tooling requirements, and establishing set up and machining sequences. The role requires accurately tracking job time, maintaining NC source code programs, and ensuring punctual delivery by meeting established cycle times and proposing efficiency improvements. This position also entails upholding a safe working environment, conducting preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and supporting manufacturing operations through special projects.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of HS diploma and/or equivalent
  • 10 years machining experience, with a minimum of 8 years CNC operation, with G-codes programming.
  • Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment and practice, specifically those involving metal cutting
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience in reading blueprint drawings

Are You Our Next ACE?

  • Operate CNC machines to produce precision metallic and nonmetallic parts using cutting, drilling, reaming, boring, and broaching
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical data to plan setups, select tooling, and determine machining methods
  • Set up machines, change tools, and make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality and tolerance standards
  • Track job time, collect SPC data, and support productivity and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Meet established cycle times to ensure on-time delivery and recommend ways to improve setup and machining efficiency
  • Load and save NC programs, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Support special projects and initiatives to ensure smooth production

Pay Transparency: 

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $25 - $40 per hour, plus incentive compensation.
