The Senior Ecommerce Product Specialist is responsible for continuously improving the online shopping experience across Christianbook.com. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to identify, prioritize, implement, and measure enhancements that improve customer experience, increase conversion, and drive business results.
As Christianbook transitions to Shopify, this individual will play a key role in shaping the future ecommerce experience by identifying opportunities, implementing new features, optimizing site functionality, and championing best practices for digital merchandising and customer experience.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
Operational Excellence & Project Execution
- Manage ecommerce enhancement initiatives from concept through implementation and measurement.
- Maintain and prioritize the ecommerce improvement roadmap.
- Document business requirements and collaborate with Development to deliver successful implementations.
- Evaluate new Shopify functionality and recommend platform enhancements.
- Continuously improve workflows and processes that support the ecommerce experience.
Promotional Planning & Execution
- Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, UX, Analytics, and Development teams to support site enhancements that improve promotional effectiveness.
- Ensure merchandising and promotional updates align with business priorities and customer experience goals.
- Support implementation of new features that enhance campaign performance and customer engagement.
Website Experience & Merchandising
- Continuously evaluate the customer journey to identify opportunities that improve usability, engagement, and conversion.
- Recommend and implement improvements to navigation, search, product pages, category pages, landing pages, cart experience, and merchandising strategies.
- Monitor customer behavior and ecommerce metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to validate site improvements.
- Research ecommerce trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Measure the success of enhancements and recommend future improvements based on results.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge
- Ecommerce merchandising principles and digital customer experience best practices.Â

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Ecommerce, Information Systems, or a related field.Â
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
5+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital product management, site optimization, or digital experience management.Â
Experience with Shopify or another leading ecommerce platform (Shopify preferred).Â
Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization.Â
Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) and other ecommerce analytics tools.Â
Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams.Â
Experience identifying and implementing customer experience improvements using data-driven insights.
