We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Multi Intensive Teacher to serve inFront Range Area, Colorado. This full-time position supports a specialized classroom of approximately 10 students and provides individualized instruction and support based on students' academic, behavioral, functional, and social-emotional needs.
The teacher will work within a highly collaborative environment supported by paraeducators, peer mentors, and a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in an Intensive Learning Center (ILC) setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies based on individual student needs.
- Provide academic, behavioral, functional, and social-emotional support.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Coordinate and collaborate with paraeducators to provide consistent classroom support.
- Work closely with the BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, psychologist, social worker, general education teachers, and other school personnel.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Remain flexible and responsive to changing student and classroom needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience required.
- Must currently hold or be in the process of obtaining a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license.
- Experience supporting students with intensive or significant support needs is preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Must be a flexible and dependable team player.
