We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Resource Teacher to join a supportive school team in Boulder, Colorado. This full-time position focuses on providing individualized and small-group instruction to students who require additional academic and special education support.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and committed to helping students build confidence, independence, and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to middle school students receiving special education services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide individual and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and materials to support student learning.
- Monitor and document student progress toward academic and functional goals.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other school-based planning activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely special education documentation.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development.
- Remain flexible and responsive to changing student, classroom, and team needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Must currently hold or be in the process of obtaining a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Must be a flexible and dependable team player.
- Previous middle school and special education resource experience is preferred.
